A globally recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety the NEBOSH National General Certificate course covers how health and safety can be effectively managed, the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK, identification and control of workplace hazards, and the practical application of this knowledge.
The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is aimed at those with health and safety responsibilities (eg. managers, supervisors and employee representatives) to enable them to discharge more effectively their organisational duties and functions. The NEBOSH National General Certificate is one of the most recognised qualifications in the health and safety profession.
The course is made up of presentations, question and answer sessions, activities and projects. There are 2 assessments at the end of the course – one written exam and a practical assessment. The practical assessment includes the completion of a general risk assessment carried out at the learner’s workplace. The tutor will support the learner’s knowledge and understanding by classroom and individual discussion.
NEBOSH will issue successful delegates the National General Certificate.
* Exam fees are additional to the course cost. The cost for the exams is £200.
Prerequisites
There are no specific entry requirements for this course. NEBOSH recommend that delegates have a suitable standard of the English language. Which means they must be able to understand and communicate the concepts covered in the course content, and complete the written exam and practical assessment.
Delegates should have a basic knowledge of health and safety, and an understanding of what happens in their workplace. The information you will need to know for the practical assessment and the exams will be covered in the course.
